Verney and his brother George (Service Number 3015) are listed on the Logan Village Nominal Roll for their ANZACS.
He was born 13th November 1891 in Weyba Lake Noosa Heads.
He died 3rd August 1939 in Tewantin and is buried there.
His parents were Henry and Louise Jane Lean.
He is a descendant of the Pioneer Family Burgess.
