Add my storyBiography
George was the third and youngest child of John Davidson and Louisa Morris. He had a brother Wiiliam John Davidson and a sister Ethel Gaskell. Just before enlisting he worked in an ammunition factory. He was accepted on 01/08/1917 and left Australian shores in January 1918. He was transported by ship to the UK with the ultimate destination being France. He arrived in France at the end of April 1918 and less than three weeks later received a shrapnel wound to the chest which took his life instantly. George was a much loved son and uncle and his memory lives on. Unfortunately at this stage I have been unable to track a photograph of him
