Son of Ralph Edgar Uden and Ellen Uden nee Harrod of High Street, Whitstable, Kent, England

Served his five year carpentry apprenticeship with E. Reeves of Whitstable, Kent, England.

Commenced return to Australia on 12 December 1918 aboard HT Karoola disembarking on 31 January 1919 as wounded.

Medals: British War Medal, Victory Medal.

During 1924c Edgar married Emma Chatwin Arter in Marrickville, NSW
