Son of Jane Borserio (Nee Fisher) & Giovani Pianto
When born was registered at James Borserio as his mother Jane was not yet married to Giovanni Pianto. He later changed his surname to Pianto but when signing up for the War he used Borserio.
In 1894 noticed a rock in a wheel track on his way to school at Millers Flat State school. He picked it up and it was gold. James Pianto was 10 years old. Received 50 pounds for the gold nugget. James although was born under Borserio is actually the son of Giovani Pianto.
