"...Lieutenant Laurie Arthur Harris, MC, of the 28th Battalion. Harris enlisted on 18 February 1915, serving with the 27th Battalion. He was then sent to Sandhurst Military College for Officer training. He returned to France as a 2nd Lieutenant with the 28th Battalion and quickly gained the rank of Lieutenant. Lt Harris was awarded the Military Cross on 18 July 1917. He was discharged on 9 January 1919." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
