Biography contributed by Faithe Jones

Son of William and Mary Warren, of Undera, Victoria.

Mr and Mrs William Warren, of "The Willows," Undera, have been informed of the death of their son, Sergt. George G. Warren, on October 9th, 1917. He had been previously reported missing on that date. Deceased enlisted early in the war and took part in the Gallipoli campaign and later gained promotion to sergeant while on service in France.

WARREN.- In loving memory of our dear son and brother, Sgt. George Goulburne Warren, 23rd Batt., killed in action at Passchendaele on 9th October, 1917.
Our brave Anzac.
The hardest part is yet to come,
When the other boys return;
For we'll miss among the happy throng
Dear George, who will never return.
