Campaigns Served:   Egypt

War Service/Promotions:  He disembarked Suez, Egypt, 7 June 1918, and marched in to Reinforcement Camp, Moascar, Egypt, 7 June 1918. On 26 July 1918 was admitted to 2nd Australian Stationary Hospital with mumps. He was transferred to Rest Camp at Port Said, Egypt, on 15 August 1918, and rejoined Central Training Depot at Moascar, Egypt on 1 September 1918. Marched out to Machine Gun Training Squadron on 14 September 1918. Admitted to 2nd A.S.H with diphtheria on 9 October 1918, but this was re-diagnosed as tonsillitis. He was discharged on 14 October 1918 and rejoined the Machine Gun Training Squadron the same day. Taken On Strength 1st Australian Machine Gun Squadron 23 October 1918. On 24 October 1918 appointed Driver. Reverts to Trooper on ceasing duties of Driver on 23 December 1918. Embarked to return home 27 May 1919.

Fate:   Returned to Australia per HT Orari, 27 May 1919, disembarking 4 July 1919. He married Edith Maud Finlayson, 12 December 1942, Armidale, NSW.
