Sydney was born 14th December 1918 Coomera in Queensland.
He died 10th April 1918 in France and is buried in the Adelaide Cemetery Villers-Bretonneux cemetery.
His parents were Samuel Stanley and Mary Ann nee Levey
Sydney is remembered in the Logan Village Museum Roll as he is a descendant of the Tamborine Pioneer families.

Sydney Kingston BIGNELL was born in Upper Coomera, Queensland on 14th December, 1892

His parents were Samuel BIGNELL & Mary Ann LEVEY who married in Dungog, NSW on 23rd April, 1861

He enlisted in Brisbane on 4th January, 1916 and embarked with the 31st Infantry Battalion, 8th Reinforcements on the HMAT Boorara on 16th August, 1916

Sydney was Killed in Action in France on 10th April, 1918 & is buried in the Adelaide Cemetery in Villers Bretonneux
