"LATE PTE. G. R. QUINN.

News has been received that Pte. G. R. Quinn died in France of wounds received in action on August 28. He left for the front on April 11 last, and remained in England until a month before he was killed. He was a native of Port Adelaide, and was 18 years of age. A week before his death be met his elder brother, Jack, who left Australia two years ago with the first draft of the A.I.F."from the Adelaide Observer 14 Oct 1916 (nla.gov.au)
