Biography contributed by Faithe Jones

Son of Charles Francis FLEMING and Lavinia Jane FLEMING nee RANSLEY

His first wife Florence Louisa Payne (1882 - 1917) in Tasmania. She died in a house fire in Tasmania just before their first baby was due. Her sister had arrived to help at the birth and when the fire broke out the neighbours rescued a young woman, thinking it was Florence, and not realising that there were two young women in the house.
