ERIC MACARTHUR MORRISON, son of Mr. James A. and Mrs. Lorn E. C. Morrison, was born at Bairnsdale, Victoria, on 5th April, 1891, and received his education at Bairnsdale College.
He entered the service of the Bank at Bairnsdale on 7 th December, 1908, being transferred to Beechworth, as ledgerkeeper, in November, 1910; Ballarat in June, 1911; Hamilton, Victoria, as teller, in December, 1912; and to Ballarat again, as teller, in June, 1914.
He enlisted as a private in the A.I.F. in May, 1916, and left Australia with reinforcements for the 38th and 39th Battalions. Subsequently he was appointed to the Finance Section, A.I.F. Headquarters, London, and was promoted to sergeant. Owing to defective eyesight he did not have any field service.

Mr. Eric Macarthur Morrison, 54 years, who died in a private hospital in Melbourne this week, was a member of an old pastoral firm of Messrs. James A. Morrison and Sons, of Broadlands. Balrnsdale. He enlisted in the Great War 1914-18, and after serving abroad for a considerable time was invalided, and during his" stay in London rejoined the Bank of New South Wales, in whose service he was before enlisting. Returning to Australia, he resigned his position in the bank, joining his late father and his brother Allan in pastoral pursuits, fattening sheep and cattle, wool growing and breeding stud stock, The Romney stud of sheep under their management was well known throughout the Commonwealth. He was well and popularly known in Sale and some years ago took part regularly in the Sale golf tournaments. His mother was a daughter of the late Andrew Macarthur, of Bairnsdale. He is survived by a widow and daughter. The private cremation was at Springvale Crematorium.
