Lilian was the daughter of Reverend Hugh Angus Robertson and Christina McNeil Robertson nee Dawson.
The following information was provided by Australian Nurses in World War 1 -
Lilian enlisted as a Staff Nurse with the Australian Army Nursing Service on 11.5.1917 and embarked on 12.6.1917 from Melbourne per "Mooltan". She saw service in Egypt and England and was Promoted to Sister 12.7.1919. Returned to Australia on 28.10.1919 per "Orontes" On Duty and was Discharged 16.1.1920.
