Arthur was born in 1879 to Thomas and Elanore in Clunes, Victoria. He married Mary Jane Lugg in 1905.

Enlisted 19.12.1914 in Oakland, South Australia and embarked from Adelaide aboard Port Lincoln on 1.4.1915.

He landed on Gallipoli on 27.5.1915 and 2 months later was admitted to No 1 Australian General Hospital on Lemnos Island with an inflammation of the stomach. With a number of serious ailments he was sent to London and returned to Australia on 8.5.1916.

Arthur Bullen passed away on 9.11.1951 at the age of 72 years. Buried in Proserpine Old Cemetery, section OP10 grave 941.
