The details provided are taken from the book "Stealth Raiders - a few daring men in 1918" written by Lucas Jordan, published 2017, refer to pages42 & 274. Prior to the war he was an engineer of Geelong Vic. He enlisted 8th July 1915, aged 26 years. He served with the 5th Infantry Battalion and also the 58th Infantry Battalion. He finished the war as a 2nd Lieutenant with the 58th. During his service he was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal for his activities. He survived the war, departing the UK for home 19th June 1919.
