George Harold Beadle b.02/02/1891, Scarborough, Yorkshire England and died Pingelly, WA on 20/01/1961.
He and his brother Leonard were brought to Western Australia by their father George Edward Beadle, in 1911 in the hope of giving them a good start in life. George Edward's wife Annie (nee Kitson) remained in Scarborough, Yorkshire to care for the other 5 children: Ethel b.1892, Winifred b.1896, Frank b.1901, Herbert b.1904 and Elsie b.1907.
George, known as Harold, and his father, became involved in the timber industry cutting railway sleepers while presumably, Leonard went to school.
In 1914, as the start of World War 1 became imminent, George Edward returned to England to be with the family leaving Harold to care for Leonard."
George Harold Beadle was repatriated back to WA as he was in the Australian Army.
