Son of John DOOLAN and Margaret Ellen nee MALROY/MAHON
A sad death occured in the Nanango Hospital, at 20 minutes to 1 on Wednesday afternoon, when John Thomas Dooland, aged 28, eldest son of of Mrs. M.E. Doolan, passed away. Deceased had done his bit at the war, suffering severely from gas, and this ultimately caused his death. He took a bad fit on Monday afternoon, and had a succession of them, ultimately succumbing as before stated. The body was removed from the Hosptial to the train the same afternoon, the funeral taking place to the Toowong Cemetery in Brisbane yesterday. A number of his returned soldier comrades marched to the railway station, and the coffin was covered with the Union Jack.
