World War 1 Service

15 Jul 1915: Discharged AIF WW1, Corporal, 5278 , 3rd Light Horse Brigade Signal Troop, Crooke returned to Australia aboard the HMAT Oxfordshire 13/8/19 and discharged on the 30th August 1919. He signed for his British War and Victory medals at Victoria Barracks on the 11th of September 1922. In 1925 (26/02/1945) a note in the last page of his file states "N. F. R.Badge No 496 & Bars 10730-1 was returned to Sapper".
