Alexander was a butcher in Murwillumbah NSW and thats where he met and fell in love with May Downie. One week into their marriage sadly Alexander was shipped oversees to fight for king and country.This precious time spent with her darling husband would be no more, he was killed in the battle of Hamel on 4th July 1918. He was 24 yrs old.
