Son of Duncan Anderosn Urquhart and Alice Maud Urquhart nee Ganderton of Clifford Street, Warragul, Victoria.

Brother of John Urquhart who returned to Australia on 5 August 1919 having served with the 12th Field Company Engineers.

23 October 1916 - enlisted at Melbourne, Victoria, with the 1 to 5 Field Company Engineers and with the rank of Driver.

2 March 1918 - transferred to Engineers Details

19 October 1918 - commenced return to Australia aboard HT Sardinia disembarking on 27 December 1918

Medals: British War Medal, Victory Medal

19 March 1919 - discharged at the 3rd Military District as medically unfit due to effort syndrome
