Add my storyBiography
"THE LATE SERGEANT J. WILCOCK.
Sergeant J. Wilcock, who was killed in action in France, was the third son of Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Willcock, of Kinsale, County Cork, Ireland. Before the war broke out he was working on the wharf at Port Pirie. Sergeant Wilcock enlisted on August 29, 1914, and was in the landing at Gallipoli. After the evacuation of the Peninsula he was sent to France, where he arrived on April 1. He met his death on July 23 1916. Sergeant Wilcock was exceedingly popular among his workmates in Port Pirie." - from the Adelaide Advertiser 20 Sep 1916 (nla.gov.au)
