Norman Ernest Davis was 23 years old when he joined up to serve in World War I. Previously employed as a Miner in the mining town of Broken Hill, he joined the 10th Infantry Battilion. He was 177.8cm tall and weighed 70.76 kg. He served in the battle of Gallipoli, recognised as part of ANZAC. He did not survive the war, he died of battle-related wounds in Greece, and is buried in Portianos Military Cemetery.
