Son of George Albert and Rona Brook of 323 Chapple Street, Broken Hill, NSW
18 December 1914 - his mother wrote a note giving him permission to serve overseas
His death resulted when a grenade exploded in his hand while training in the field. The court inquiry concluded that the grenade exploded due to it having a faulty fuse
His Brother, 451 Privatete Frederick Albert Brook of the 20th Battalion was killed in action on 5 August 1916.
