At the time of enlistment he was at the Central Flying School, Werribee, Victoria and the time of his death his residential address was Kalgoorlie, WA

Son of Peter Cowper and Georgina Cowper nee Hunt of 'Mouzie', Cranbrook Park, Ilford, England

Served a three year apprenticeship with Bournemouth & Co., England

Commenced return to Australia on 6 May 1919 aboard Kaiser-i-Hind disembarking on 16 June 1919

Medals: 1914-15 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal

In 1923 he was employed with Lautoka Mills, Fiji
