ACTING WARDEN OF ST. JOHN'S
Rev. J. E. N. Osborn
The Rev. J. E. N. Osborn, rector of St. Mary's parish, Kangaroo Point, has been appointed temporary warden oF St. John's College.
Mr. Osborn is a son of the late Archdeacon Osborn. He and his brother, the Rev. Arthur Osborn, now rector of the Bundaberg parish, both went to Oxford, and were graduates of Keble College.Mr. Osborn took his theological course in Ely College, and was ordained deacon in 1905 and priest in 1907, at Winchester. He returned to Queensland in 1908, was curate for four years of St. Andrew's, Lutwyche — where his father had been rector for many years—and became vicar of St. Phillip's Tiaro, in 1912. After being rector of St. Andrew's, Pittsworth, he went overseas in 1916 with the A.I.F. as chaplain. When the war had ended Mr. Osacrn became rector of St. Thomas's Toowong, and later rector of St. James's, Toowoomba, of which district he became rural dean in 1929. Three years ago Mr. Osborn became rector of St. Mary's.
