Pte. D. H. McIntyre, who will be remembered by many local residents, having been employed by Messrs Jackson Bros, some years ago, has been killed in action. Pte. McIntyre was reported missing a few months ago, and it now transpires that he has made the supreme sacrifice.
He enlisted from Western Australia.

His parents were Peter Duncan McINTYRE & Elizabeth ORGAN

His brother Stanley Harcourt McINTYRE (SN 2186) also served during WW1 & served in the RAAF (SN1304) during WW2 & was awarded a MBE
