Six Brothers Go to War

Herbert was one of six brothers from Meningie, SA to enlist for service for WW1.
All of the brothers were assigned to the 9th Light Horse.

Robinson Charles Morphett : SERN 1440
Robinson Arthur Murray : SERN 2317
Robinson Richard George : SERN 1441

Of the six, only five returned.

Richard (Dickie) Robinson was killed in action.
According to records, Richard was 'wounded to head' in Palestine on April 21st, 1917 and died of his injury the same day. RIP

His exact final resting place unknown to the Robinson family.

Geneology SA record confirms that the second Given Name is BRACKEN not Breacken or Breacker. BRACKEN accords with the RSL Membership details and he was interred at Centennial Park (SA) with the spelling of that name as Bracken. This record had been amended to accord with birth and death records.

Returned to Australia 10 July 1919
