APPOINTMENT OF MODERATOR
Rev. A. S. Houston Nominated
The Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Victoria (Rt.Rev. W. W. Ingram) announced last night that the board appointed for the purpose had nominated as Moderator of the General Assembly for 1948-49 Rev. Alexander Sommerville Houston, of St. Andrew's Church, Box Hill. Mr. Houston had indicated his acceptance of the nomination, and the Moderator would make a formal announcement to the special commission of assembly, which met on November 11. The Moderator Elect would assume office in May, 1948.
