William John Robinson was born in 1898 in Isle of Wight England. Before enlistment Robinson was a caretaker and lived Maylands, South Australia, his next of kin was his father William Robinson.

William John Robinson enlisted in Perth, WA and was in the 28th Battalion on 1/9/15. On 18/1/16 he embarked as a HMAT Medic at Fremantle. Robinson and his unit fought in the Battle of Pozieres, German Spring Offensive, Hindenburg Line and more. He was wounded in action in France from a sprained ankle in 5/8/16 and was discharged 6 weeks after. He also had trench feet from 8-23/3/17 and a sprained ankle in 9/7/18. In 6/1/18 Robinson committed a crime because he had caused a nuisance in the trenches.
 

On 5/6/19 William John Robinson married Eleanor Caroline Brown at Noahs Ark, Chelmsford Road. During 20/9/19 he returned to Australia and discharged from the army in 13/11/19. He passed away on 9th of February 1973 aged 74-75 at Karraktta Cemetery, Nedlands City, Western Australia.
