SOLDIER ILL IN FRANCE.
Pte. Henry McConnell, son of Mr. W. J. McConnell. of Tarrangower, near Maldon. and nephew of Mrs. D. Gill, Shelbourne, who has been reported ill while fighting in France, enlisted at the age of 14 years and two months, under the name of "Jack Ferris." He passed for 21 years. He sailed in October, 1915, and has been on active service in France for several months past as a driver in the Field Artillery.
