Albert John Llewellyn Bowers enlisted at Charters Towers shortly after his youngest (15 y.o.) brother 4265 Pte. Robert Bowers (/explore/people/336672) had enlisted in Brisbane. The two brothers embarked together, their middle brother 4158 Pte. Charles Victor Bowers (/explore/people/225277) had already enlisted a month earlier.
