Add my storyBiography contributed by Erica Ryan
As recorded by the Lachlander and Condobolin and Western Districts Recorder on 16 June 1915 ('A Condobolin Hero of the Dardanelles.'), Will was the only son of drover Warburton Grey Innes of Condobolin, and grandson of the Honorable Frederick Maitland Innes who served for 26 years was a Member of the Tasmanian Parliament.
Will was well known as the champion runner of the Condobolin district and a good all-round athlete; and was the first soldier from the district to die of wounds sustained in the conflict on Turkish soil.
