Missing Medals
Albert's medals were lost. A number of years ago, I was informed an ex serving officer in the Australian Army was finding lost medals and returning them to family members. I was contacted and informed Albert's silver war medal had been located in Indonesia and purchased by the gentleman mentioned above. We made contact and the return of the medal completed. He did not want reimbursement. An amazing gesture and the medal, the only one of the 3, now sits with other family medals at home.
