4864 Private Robert Prince McCann Macoun was captured at Transloy, Somme area on the 2 February 1917. When he was taken Prisoner he was found to be wounded in the left thigh from shrapnel, from a hand-grenade.
He was interned in Prisoner of War camps in Germany and was transfered between Stettin, Limburg, Altdamm and Schneidemuhl before being repatriated to England at the conclusion of the War on 13 December 1918.
