Recieved "kick from horse" on 31 Aug 1918 and died of the injuries sustained on 07 Sep 1918
"...Reinmuth was parading a horse for inspection on 31/8/18 when the animal suddenly pulled away, and kicked him in the face. Reinmuth had looked after the animal himself for about a fortnight, a thought the animal to be perfectly quiet. The man is a good horseman, and the incident purely accidental." - from his Service Record (recordsearch.naa.gov.au)
"DEATH OF SAPPER REINMUTH.
Launceston, Sunday Night. — Word has been received that Sapper Ern Reinmuth has died in France. Prior to enlisting he resided at Penguin. He leaves a widow and four children." - from the Zeehan and Dundas Herald 16 Sep 1918 (nla.gov.au)
