Biography

"THE LATE PRIVATE SHORT.

Mr. S. G. Short, Russell-street, Yatala, has been notified that his only son, Private C. E. Short, died at the Third Canadian Casualty Clearing Station from shock, resulting from a compound fracture of both legs on October 1. Private Short was born at Birkenhead, and educated at the Port Adelaide Public School.
