Biography

I was only a child and can only just remember my great uncle. He was my grandmothers brother and if he had any any traits of what she had, he would have been a typical Aussie.  Full of fun and love for his family. I do remember one of his sons  Harold and he was a lovely person. There was a lot of family love.  Knowing that side of the family he would have joined for the love of his country.  He also had brothers that had joined as well.  The photo of him was taken just before he left to go overseas.  He was proud of that uniform. - Paulene van Trienen
