Son of William Vickery and Mary Jane Vickery nee Lamont of Bahgallah, Victoria.
Brother of Murdoch Vickery who returned to Australia in August 1917 having served with the 21st Battalion; Reuben Vickery who returned to Australia on 4 February 1920 having served with 21st Battalion.
