Add my storyBiography
George Edward (Eddie) William Young was linked with the early pioneering days of the Eden district.
He was a great grandson of Captain Stevenson, who was a Captain with the Imlays brothers who owned whaling stations and held large pastoral holdings in the Eden NSW district.
Eddie lived his young days on Towamba Station where his father was Manager.
He attended Towamba School and left to go to the 1914-18 War where he served in the Light Horse Division in Egypt.
During his last years he lost sight as an effect of the War.
