24 May 1915: Discharged AIF WW1, Private, 571, 5th Infantry Battalion, Wounded (gunshot wound to shoulder) in action, 8th May 1915 at Cape Helles during the Battle of Krithia. As a result of this wound Private Keown was discharged on 24th May 1916 as medically unfit.
