John Charles Williams

JOHN CHARLES WILLIAMS (1884-1963) born at Penrith, son of Charles and Kathleen Williams. John served in WW1 with the Army Medical Corps, General Reinforcements from May 25th, 1916 as Private 77575 at Liverpool. He embarked at Sydney on HMAT A20 Hororata on June 14th 1917. He entered the AAMC Training Depot at Parkhouse, London and was then sent to France in 1918. A member of the 9th Field Ambulance. He was listed for return to Australia on June 3rd, 1919. He was awarded the 1914-5 Start, British War Medal and Victory Medal.
