Popular Padre Retires

After 28 years as senior Anglican Chaplain of the Western Australian military forces, the Rev. Henry Vine is severing his association with the militia at the end of this month on account of ill-health.
The popular padre will be missed from the military camps and bivouacs which he has attended so regularly for more than 20 years,
He served three years with the A.I.F. during the war and was awarded a Victoria Decoration in 1928.

The Rev. Henry Vine, formerly rector of Guildford, has been a diabetic patient in the Heidelberg (Vic.) repatriation hospital. After lengthy treatment it was found necessary to amputate his left leg at the knee. Though aged 77, Mr. Vine came through the operation well.
