'PRIVATE L. TUNNY.

Private Tunny enlisted from Yeulba early in 1916 and as a member of the 41st. Battalion. He was in France for about a week when he fell ill. He is well-known, in Toowoomba and through-out the west, where he followed the occupation of sheep shearing expert prior to enlistment.' from Darling Downs Gazette 7 Jul 1917 (nla.gov.au)
