Son of Hewan Leslie ARCHDALL and Henrietta Maria nee MILLS, Moiralan, North Quay, Brisbane, Queensland
The death occurred in the Gregory Private Hospital In Brisbane on Wednesday morning, of Mr. Basil Archdall. Mr. Archdall was 48 years old, and had been in ill-health for some months and was taken by plane to Brisbane on 27th April, where until his death he was an inmate of the Gregory Prrvate Hospital.
After the great war, he was a member of the staff of the Longreach branch of the Bank of Australasia and was then transferred to the Brisbane branch. He was appointed manager of the branches at Hamilton and Armidale (N S.W.) and then to George Street, Brisbane. He was the only son of Mr. H. L. Archdall, senior P M. in Brisbane. Mr. Archdall, who was unmarried, is survived by his parents (Brisbane) and his twin sister (Mrs. B Gibson. Goondiwindi) Mr. Archdall was a member of the Longreach Club and the Legacy Club (Brisbane).
