Age at embarkation 20. Next of kin: Father, R. Simcoe, Post Office, Narrabri, New South Wales. Enlistment date 3 November 1917.2 Infantry Battalion - 24-26 Reinforcements Embarkation details Unit embarked from Sydney, New South Wales, on board HMAT A38 Ulysses on 19 December 1917. Returned to Australia 14 January 1919.

"OBITUARY. Mr. A. T. W. Simcoe.

The death occurred recently of Mr. Arthur William Thomas Simcoe at the age of 57 years. Deceased was born at Stuart Town and spent most of his adult life at Moree. He left the district and went to Narrabri and Tamworth but returned eight years ago and took up permanent residence here. In 1948 he married Miss Bene Ferrier, of 'Retreat,' Baan Baa, who survives him. Four children of a previous marriage survive as do his mother (Coolah), four brothers and two sisters. The late Mr. Simcoe served with the 2nd Battalion, A.I.F. in France during the first World War. He enlisted again at the outbreak of World War II but was discharged medically unfit after serving for three years. His remains were interred in the Church of England portion of Moree Cemetery after a service conducted in All Saints' by Canon E. T. Ormerod. Members of Moree subbranch R.S.S. and A.I.L.A. formed a guard of honour." - from the Moree North West Champion 26 Aug 1954 (nla.gov.au)
