Born 1887 in Castellorifon, Greece

Wife:  Mary Queenie Zimbulis, lived at 54 Evans Street, Boulder, Western Australia.

James was described on enlisting as Greek born, 28 years 7 months of age, married,
5' 6" tall; 129 lbs; dark complexion; brown eyes; black hair; Church of England.

19/07/1915     enlisted in Perth, WA

21/09/1915     appointed to D Company, 32nd Battalion at Blackboy Hill Camp, WA

18/11/1915     embarked from Outer Harbour, South Australia, onboard
                     HMAT Geelong A2, as a Private in the 8th Infantry Brigade,
                     32nd Infantry Battalion, D Company
18/12/1915     disembarked into Suez, Egypt

08/05/1916     transferred to 15th Auxillary

09/05/1916     sick to hospital
24/05/1916     rejoined unit

15/06/1916 -   AWOL from unit
25/10/1916  

26/11/1916     marched out from Moascar

28/11/1916     Court martialled - sentenced to 12 months imprisonment - with
                      hard labour - from being Awol
03/12/1916      sentenced suspended  - ordered to rejoing unit

31/01/1917      rejoined Details Camp, Moascar from detention

03/03/1917      sentence being reconsidered (to be effective as of 01/04/1920)

14/03/1917     proceeded to join British Expeditionary Forces, ex Moascar
15/03/1917     disembarked into England

02/04/1917     transferred to 70th Infantry Battalion, ex 32nd Battalion

13/06/1917     took part in battle at Windmill Hill
