My Great Uncle James William Gilligan

This man was my Great Uncle. We were never told much about him, but I am researching his life and 'found' him for my Father before he died last year. This fellow signed up and went overseas in the year that his Brother John Gilligan was killed in action. John was a Lance Corporal in the 15th Battalion and had signed up in Lismore NSW on 24 December 1914 with his younger Brother Francis Abraham Gilligan ( My Fathers Father) My Grandfather - we never knew him.

More to come to round out this story.
