Biography

"...2616 Private Albert McGuiness, 37th Battalion, of Parkes, NSW. A brushmaker before enlisting in September 1916, Pte McGuiness left Australia with the 5th Reinforcements in November 1916 and arrived in France for service on the Western Front in April 1917. Pte McGuiness was killed during the 3rd Division's attack on Messines Ridge, Belgium, on 7 June 1917. Aged 25 at the time of his death, Pte McGuiness has no known grave." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
