MOUNT GAMBIER RESIDENTS. Mount Gambier, May 10.
Word has been received here by the Rev. J. Cully that Private M. H. G. Lithgow, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Lithgow, of Allandale East, had died of wounds received whilst fighting in the Dardanelles. Mr. Cully visited the home and broke the sad news to the bereaved parents." - from the Adelaide Chronicle 15 May 1915 (nla.gov.au)
