PRIVATE ALEXANDER JOSEPH KENNEDY 3371
1st Battalion AIF
Private Alexander Kennedy enlisted in the AIF at the age of 18 in July 1915 and joined the 1st Battalion in February 1916.
Alexander suffered from shell shock during the Battle for Pozieres in July 1916 and in April 1917 received severe gunshot wounds to his left leg, fracturing his fibula and tibia. His war over, he was returned to Australia in late 1917, discharging in March 1918 as medically unfit. Alexander Kennedy died in Sydney in 1974.
