Son of James Edward Powell, H.M. Customs, Sydney, New South Wales
On Saturday morning news came to town that Mr. Powell of Powell & Mann farmers at Banana Pocket had committed suicide. Mr Powell was a sufferer from severe shellshock. His funeral which took place on Saturday afternoon, was attended by members of the Returned Soldiers League.
